Hi Everyone,

We hope you are all keeping healthy and safe at home - what a few weeks it has been! With the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, we wanted to update you on how we plan to continue working and what we are seeing in the market.

Realtors have been deemed an essential service (for now) by the province of Ontario, mainly so that buyers/sellers who have upcoming closings during this time are not left stranded. While our office has ceased all in-person meetings and showings, we are able to continue business for our clients (through phone calls and Zoom/Skype) who are planning their listings or still looking to invest in the market.

We have been watching the market very closely. We are seeing some sellers (including our own) hold off on listings, some condo buildings have banned showings altogether, some properties and units are selling as expected while others aren’t selling or are being taken off the market. There’s a reason everyone keeps using the word “unprecedented”. We’ve never gone through this before and there is so much uncertainty. One thing we do know, the longer this lasts, the bigger its impact will be.

The best advice we can give our clients is to hang tight, stay home and put the health of your loved ones first. If you want to talk about real estate or just say ‘hi’, give us a call! We love Zoom, Skype, Facebook, FaceTime, WhatsApp… the list goes on.
